400 of them

I have been busy with my queen size bed cover.  I am crocheting granny squares and then these are all going to be crocheted together to form a queen size bed cover.

The only draw back is that there are four hundred of these to be made.

 Which means  lots of these

Which then become lots of these

Which become these (not as many)

Look at all those tails that need sewing in......

Very ambitious I think! 

I have made 200 wheels and about 100 white squares......so half way there. 

My aim is to finish it before our new house is finished (which is March 2013)

A different sort of pillow

What do you do with the tooth that falls out and the tooth fairy has yet to collect?...do you leave them in a jar? or leave them on a tissue? or.....

Yeap I googled it and found that you can have tooth Fairy pillows.  So I made one.

I will save you from a picture of the tooth.  It did however work a treat.  She didn't let her tooth out of her sight from the moment it fell out so I was scared that she would hang onto it all night and the tooth fairy would not be able to find it and retrieve it.  I did convince her to put it in the cushion's pocket and she slept on it.

Much easier to retrieve the tooth in the night using the pillow

Stack and Wack - Quilt as you go

I have started to make a stack and whack , quilt as you go.  These are going to be presents for some friends of ours. 

I have been cutting cutting cutting

then I have to piece these

then I have to quilt as you go.

I have done some more hand stitching but it is on the Georgetown turnaround which is still very much WIP.

I think I am working my through my crochet obsession as I am beginning to think about all the hand sewing projects I am yet to do...so little time and so many projects yet to do

I've got the Crochet bug

......so much so that I have managed to whip this little number up over the weekend....might make it into a cushion.  (Pattern is found here).

Then I made this great cushion cover. The pattern "Mable" can be found here.  I am experimenting with colour combinations based on the wool I can get my hands on.  You know when you start making something you get that feeling that this is NQR well that is what I had with this one.
